Stand Up Against Cybersecurity Threats Facing Your Business With a Proactive Approach!
CyberStanding is a resource for small businesses that seek to be proactive about their cybersecurity risk mitigation strategies and that want to discover new ways to make cybersecurity a priority at every level of the organization.
The fact of the matter is that cyber attacks are an inevitable part of the modern, interconnected, ever-complex technological environment of the current era. Recognizing the cybersecurity risks that are trending at any given moment; being aware of the realities of how those risks affect stakeholders of an organization (including its employees, clients and customers); and knowing about different strategies, concepts, and ideas that may alleviate those risks, are just some of the few steps responsible professionals should take to protect their businesses that they worked so hard to establish and build.
CyberStanding was founded by Violetta Averbakh, an attorney who works on a daily basis with companies undergoing various forms of external and internal cyberattacks, data breaches and unauthorized release of private or sensitive information. She works with information technology forensic investigators and teams of other attorneys to investigate cybersecurity incidents; to determine steps to bring business operations back in order; and to consider the best approach to take in communicating with clients and other stakeholders, while bearing in mind an array of local, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
Ms. Averbakh is holder of a certificate from Harvard University where she studied cybersecurity risk management and learned identifying cyber threats for a given business in the context of its specific systems and assets; understanding technology and knowing what questions to ask to gauge cybersecurity risk; developing an incident response plan; and designing and implementing a mitigation strategy. Ms. Averbakh also has a finance and marketing background having attended the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Ms. Averbakh aims to share her knowledge gained from working in cybersecurity and privacy, in order to incite small businesses to recognize the cyber risks affecting their organizations and to encourage them to proactively develop appropriate solutions before those risks become a reality.[1]
